M's Cake smash

I really couldn't sit down and pick a favorite. Each time I looked at one I thought it was my favorite. My good friend Jenna took thees for us. She is so wonderful with my kids and such a sweetheart!

Ember has always had a sweet tooth. I thought for sure she would be eating the cake as fast as she could. Nope, I sat the cake in front of her and she was more interested in the funny texture and the feel of the frosting on her fingers then she was about putting it in her mouth. I finally put a small bit of frosting on her lips to see if she would love it but she just looked confused. She definitely loved to play with the cake and smashed it up and yeah some got on her face but she was definitely not eating it like I thought. Maybe my baking skills are not that great...but it was a box cake... so I don't think I coulda messed up too bad. Anyway the pictures turned out perfect. I could not be more happy and I love my baby girl with all my heart!!

Apartment love -living room-

Here is another sneak peek into our home. Did you see the kids room?? The living room still needs a few things... more pillows... purple nick-naks and my 7' bamboo tree that should be here on Monday!! Other than that I really think it is coming together. My wonderful mama came to see us over Embers birthday and we did a few projects to make the apartment a little more like a home. It was so much fun and I miss her already! Eventually I will take wider framed shots and let you see the whole room.... as for now I hope you like the tease!!

Ember is ONE

I made two cakes for Ember. One (this one) was her smash cake! I can't wait to post pictures. Soon. My sweet friend Jenna took them for us.

Lots and lots of presents.

She got stuff from everyone! I made her the little pillow dolls you see in the pictures. It is fun to see more girl toys around the house. Dolls, princesses and pink..pink..pink! Poor thing was playing with blocks and cars before.

Lucky girl had Grandma come out just for her birthday! Pretty special. Love you mom...xoxo

...and Ty had a hard time letting her have all the attention! So he helped her open the gifts and tried on her hat.

This was the cake she blew out the candles on and we all ate.

She wasn't super into it.

We love you baby girl!! Hope you had a wonderful birthday!!
xoxo
