Pincushion tutorial

LOVE my new pincushion??? I found the tutorial HERE and thought I would do another one for ya since I had so much fun making it!!!  Wanna make one?
You will need:
3 coordinating fabrics measuring 8 1/2″ x 1″ for the pincushion top
1 piece of fabric measuring 3 1/2″x3 1/2″ for pincushion back
coordinating thread
your choice in stuffing

First things first....get a really good helper!!!
Chose your three different fabrics! Doesn't  have to be much, scraps will work.

Take your 3 coordinating fabrics and make 1″ strips

Trim those to 81/2″ long

quick shot of Ty helping!

Sew your three strips together along the longest edges.

You will have something like this, but probably prettier!

Press, folding the seam allowances to one side.

Take the fabric strip and cut it into four 2″ pieces.

Rotate a couple of pieces through 90 degrees and lay them out  to create your design.

Sew fabrics together.

back shot

Pick out your coordinating back piece and sew together leaving a half inch to insert filling.

Now fill her up:)

Once you are finished filling, hand sew your hole together.

There you have it!!! My first pincushion:)
