Whipple Family Renion 2013

Jayson and I look forward to the Whipple reunion every year.
If you want to see last years reunion click here.

Last year I was super pregnant and pretty sick from the altitude. Ty was so little and running around everywhere. I was blonder and Jayson had slightly less facial hair.

...but one year later and were on that same rock and taking that same picture.
Plus one family member:)

This year Ty was still running around everywhere.
He has gotten faster and can jump higher.

He and Heather have the sweetest bond ever.

I don't know who will miss who more once we move.

Ember loves the outdoors.

She was all smiles and giggles.

Jayson and I took the kids for a little walk.

After one or two pictures of Jayson this is what I start to get. . . .

We will really miss coming each year.

Learning to swim

Every time I think my kids can't get any cuter. . .

Ty has always loved the water...Baths, mini pools, sprinklers. Still I wondered how he would do in a deep pool with the life jacket. I thought he might be a bit hesitant or at least annoyed by the life jacket on.

He hopped right over to the edge and with out me even there to catch him he jumps right in. He was so excited the whole time in the pool I thought  he was going to burst.

I thought maybe he would be nervously attached to my side but he wanted to swim around and jump off the edge.

"mommy watch, mommy watch, MOMMY!!!"

I think I heard "MOMMY WATCH" 1000 times. It was music to my ears.

Mom and Dad took him out today. Just the three of them. I stayed back and took pictures. I couldn't help but snap away. Trying to catch those precious moments. Trying to get the perfect picture of him in the air on mid jump. We got some pretty good ones I think.

Ty is really such a sweetie. I love him so much. It is so amazing to watch him grow. I love that he repeats EVERYTHING we say and everything we do. Its not only adorable but a nice little reminder that we need to be an example to our children every second. They are watching everything and absorbing it in so fast.

DIY girl outfit

I wanted to get a little creative with all the cute flowers I got from WholePort. I had about a million ideas running around in my head but it was mom who though to make Em a cute outfit.

You will need:
Flowers
(small flowers for headband)
(Large flower on socks and onesie)
Hair elastic
Sequins
Onesies
Socks
Glue gun
Sewing needle
Thread

  • Hand sew the flowers onto the socks with just a few stitches.
  • Hand sew the sequins onto the onesie then add flower.
  • Hot glue flowers onto headband.

Tada...How freaking cute is she.
I will be making a similar outfit to match for myself....because I am cheesy like that and want us to match!

Summer on the farm

This summer Jayson is helping out Dad on the farm. We are going to bed early, waking up early, working and playing hard. The 110 degree weather has been a little much to get use to. Even for me who spent 18 years growing up in it. We cure the heat with spontaneous water fights and an occasional nap in the AC.

Jayson may have grew up a city boy but has learned how to get his hands dirty the last few days.

It is so nice for Jayson and Ty to spend more time together. Ty is big enough to tag along on most things. This morning he got to help mow the lawn. He had a blast and tells everyone all about it. "Ty mow da lawn and daddy" DARLING.

We will be enjoying the farm life tell we make the big move to Colorado.

 I fully plan on...

Soaking up the sun
Swimming in the pool
Going on lots of four-wheeler rides
Take the kids fishing
Wake-board
BBQ
Playing in the sprinklers
Watching the sun set
Get a tan

and most importantly spend lots and lots of time with family.

I also will be celebrating 1000 followers with a big GIVEAWAY! E-mail me if you are interested in being apart of this:)
XOXO
