I love baby leg warmers. Winter is coming up and I wanted some other options for Ember rather than just pants and tights.
To buy them at the store they are a pretty penny to say the least. But if you have some old knee highs laying around then they are FREE!!
After I made one....well you can see I had to make more.
I used almost all my knee highs.
But she looks so cute in them it was worth it!
Lay out your sock.
Cut off the heal and the toe (throw them away)
Turn the cuff and the sock inside out.
Fold the cuff so right sides are now facing out.
Fold the cuff so right sides are now facing out.
Sew the cuffs raw edges with a zig-zag stitch.
Put the cuff into the sock.
(remember the sock should be inside out)
Sew together with a zig-zag stitch.
(While sewing stretch the cuff to the sock-dont pull sock)
Turn right side out and
WHA LA

I have a stash of leg warmers for my girls (at least 20 or so) and I'm in love. They aren't babies anymore but it's just as sweet on a little girl with skirts and dresses. :)
