JOHN DEERE

Have a family member that loves JOHN DEERE? I do! Well actually most my family loves it. I guess thats what happens when you grow up on a farm. Anyhow. My sweet brother and sister in laws kitchen is pretty "JOHN DEERE themed". So I thought for Christmas I would whip them up some placemats for their table.

I didn't have very much material. Hardly any actually...So I cut what I had into strips and made it work. I got out some green and brown to make up for the rest. I didn't even have enough material to make them the same. BUT I think they are cute a little different. They still look like they belong together, and hope they fit on their table nicely!!! 

I also made them JOHN DEERE pot holders...I'll post those later!!! 

kung fu panda vinyl

I'm totally in love with kung fu panda. There is a quote on there that

I have wanted to do something with since I have seen it...

So my mother being the sweet lady she is made me some vinyl with

the quote on it!!! I am so in love with it. It looks great in my living room.

house make over continues

these shelves I got at Joanns

they were only six bucks

I forgot to take a before picture

but they started off that new light wood color

so we just painted them black to match the living room.

I am so happy with the way it all turned out!

The HOPE picture frames I made

we pulled out the nasty back with the old holes in it

I got this paper at Joanns

LOVE IT

70% recycled and so cute

...so i know this looks crazy but just

rip up a ton of your favorite papers

get out the good ol mod podge

place them super randomly

Its a very nice couch I <3 it

however it is sooo low...

it lost its legs

My mother thought we should put it on stilts!!

so we went and got some fabric for a ruffle

so we could raise it:)

we cut seven inch strips

we had to make room to sew in a

very tight space.

mom introduced me to a new best friend...

I saw these HOPE picture frames on HERE!
I fell in love with them:) so I wanted to do them but
to fit my house:) I had no idea what burlap even was tell I
saw her post!! and it totally fits the vibe of my house SOOO
I think I may have to make the pillows like she does HERE!



I got these nasty picture frames at the dollar store..
 they just needed a little paint, so I painted them black!!!

cut my burlap to match the inside of the

frames..in this case 8.5 by 11 in

Then I drew out the word HOPE

and cut it out on some black fabric:)

It doesn't show it in the picture but I pinned

the letters down...... makes life easier

then sew your letters on to the burlap.
AND I GOT .............
THIS as my final project!

also I didn't keep the glass in

the frames...don't know why I just liked that

look better I suppose:)

picture frame!!!

I wanted to use the same basic idea as the box:)

started with a blank wood frame...like 2 bucks...

used same rocks....we have tons left over.

same paint...just pulled some leafs off a couple flowers

also from our wedding...

what do you think???

my box project

I wanted something to put my pens and pencils in....they were

in a Kern's jar forever hahhaha! so i got some wood boxes from

walmart and thought i would try and spice them up a little:)
