Last week we wanted you to share a healthy snack...something that would feel holiday-ish. I found this AMAZING apple pie dessert on win, lose or blog. I tried it and loved it!!! I didn't have the camera to snap pictures so head over to hers for a better "how to"
here is how its done
Start with an Apple.
Slice apple.
Throw the core away
Throw the core away
put the apple in a bowl
and add some water (about 1/4 Cup).
put the bowl of apple slices in the microwave
COVER, and cook for 2 minutes.
Now carefully pour all the water out.
You can leave the apple in the bowl or put it on a plate.
Once you've drained the water, sprinkle cinnamon all over the apple.
NOTE: Use straight cinnamon. You do not need a cinnamon/sugar mixture for this.
I thought they were a perfect treat that didn't make me feel as guilty
as the sugar cookies/chocolate/caramel that is laying around my house!!
