Hey there!
Welcome back to MMM. Our THIRD link up!
Last week we entered a healthy recipe.
I shared healthy ICE CREAM.
MY favorite link up was from Miranda at Aimless Translation.
She shared HEALTHY CHIPS! Made with Kale.
I think they rock! Be sure to check out Miranda's post HERE
to learn how to make them yourself!
This week was good for me.I went to the gym Monday through Friday.
Monday: Arms and Abs.
Tuesday: Power Pump calss
Wednesday: Training session
Thursday: Power Pump
Friday: Arms and Back
Friday: Arms and Back
Can I just say I LOVE the Power Pump class I am taking
at the gym. It seriously kicks my trash.
I take it with my baby sister and two great friends.
The instructor is great... always switching things up.
Which is great because I have been to classes that do the same thing almost every time that equals boredom and muscle memory.
Also the training session was great! My sister just signed up
and they offer one free session with a personal trainer and they
said she could bring a friend... she picked me!!
He took us through our weight, body fat percentage, and
we made some realistic goals that we should hit by the next
month. I HATE weighing on new scales...why is it you always
weigh more when its at the doctors office or the gym...??
SERIOUSLY annoying.
Anyways we made a realistic goal for me to lose 4lbs. by the end of the month! I think I can handle that!
Then he took us through an INTENSE circuit training.
Working with light weights but high cardio.
I seriously was dripping sweat by the end of the work out but
got some great ideas on how to switch up my routine and get
better results!:)
I am seriously excited Halloween is over..I DO LOVE IT!!! Such a fun time of year.
BUT now all the candy is out of my house!!! I am not a chocolate fan...so that's not the problem....its the gummie things...like DOTS. O my goodness I could eat them all day.
Most Halloween candy mixes have those little baby boxes of DOTS in them...I could go through ten if I would let myself. O well I did ok this year. Now its on to Thanksgiving and learning how to monitor that food season....hmmm a smell a challenge....some sort of Thanksgiving support group..haha
Last weeks challenge was to share your favorite muscle to workout
and some workouts you use to train that area. -MY FAVORITE muscle would definitely be my arms/back.
-WHY? I am impatient and I feel I get results the fastest in my arms.
I will share with you two fast workouts I do at home.
both I do 4sets of 12 Spider Curls
(thats what i call them)
Best achieved when at a slight incline
Use slow controlled motions
-also try using one arm at a time
Tricep extensions
-you can use one weight holding with both hands
or one weight with one hand (same positioning)
At the gym this is my FAVORITE!!!
Pull ups
(the kind I can do)
actually anyone can do them...
pull ups sounds hard right
well with this baby you can have it take some
of your weight!
Its a counter weight machine.
Meaning if I weigh 125 and I set it
at 70 lbs. I am only pulling up the
remaining 55lbs of my body weight.
Just as it looks in the picture.
You place both knees on pad, hold on to bars
and pull your remaining weight up and down.
I like to start at 70lbs- meaning I am lifting 55lbs of my weight
and work up to 50lbs-meaning I am lifting the remaining 75lbs.
I love this...heheAt the gym this is my FAVORITE!!!
