Participate in a survey on couples and alcohol use and enter to win a raffle!

Dear Readers, My name is CJ Fleming and I am a graduate student at Clark University in Worcester, MA. I am currently working on my dissertation, which focuses on the spouse’s role in a person’s decision to seek help for alcohol use issues. The study is designed for married couples for whom alcohol use is an area of disagreement in their marriage, and is intended for people at all levels of alcohol intake. The study is fully approved by my university. I am working on recruitment for my survey, which participants complete anonymously and entirely online. Those who complete the survey will be entered into a raffle for Amazon giftcards. Please see below for more information. I appreciate your support in my research!  CJ

• Are you and your spouse legally married and at least 18 years of age?

• Have you or your partner consumed alcoholic beverages in the last 6 months?

• Is alcohol use an area of disagreement in your marriage?

If you answered yes to the above questions, you and your spouse are eligible to participate in a research
survey regarding the relationship between your marriage and your alcohol-related help seeking behaviors. When you both complete the survey, you will each be entered into a raffle for one of four $50 Amazon gift cards!

The survey will take each participant approximately 20 minutes and survey responses will be anonymous.

This study has been approved by the Clark Committee for the Rights of Human Participants in Research and Training Programs (IRB). Any questions about human rights issues should be directed to the IRB Chair, Dr. James P. Elliott, 508-793-7152,jelliott@clarku.edu. The study is being conducted by C.J. Fleming, M.A. and James Cordova, Ph.D. in the Psychology Department at Clark University. Three anniversaries

BUT Jayson is the rock in our family.

He is the most amazing man I know.

I want to praise him for all the things he does.

Anniversaries - Tell us the story of your favorite one, your first one, or just what they mean to you!

 

Jayson and I spent our first anniversary with a newborn. Yup Ty was born December 2nd and our first year anniversary was just nine days later. Jayson and I needless to say stayed home. He waited on me hand and foot as I was recovering from labor. We held our beautiful son and wondered how in just one short year we gained so much happiness-so much love/ for one another and for our sweet Ty. I remember talking about how fast life can change and how blessed we were to have each other. 
 -On the lighter side- Jayson also surprised me with Sushi that night...It was a long nine months with out my favorite food. 

Our second anniversary we went to Vegas baby. We stayed in a very nice suite on the strip...and we never left the room...nine months later...Ember was born. (TMI??) haha

Third anniversary was pretty low key. We now had Ty and Ember. We went out to dinner and exchanged stories about things we loved about our last three years together. 

 

I love celebrating our anniversary. I know we have only had a few...however they have been very special because they are with my love.
