these two

I can't stop watching this video of my two little ones.

Seriously melts my heart.

Banana bites

How about a healthy snack today!?

I have seen these all over Pinterest and have had a lot of friends tell me to try them. I thought it would be fun and yummy but was too lazy to actually make them. Then I had a batch of bananas start to go bad. It was shocking because bananas usually don't make it through the week at our house. I have to buy two or three batches at a time. I tend to get one batch of yellow and two really green ones. However we have been gone a lot lately and just didn't get around to eating them this time. The thought of throwing away food makes me sad. It is so expensive to buy healthy food so there was no way I was going to let these babies go bad.

So they're not totally bad but one more day and in my opinion they would have been nasty. So I thought this was the perfect opportunity to make the banana bites I have heard so much about.

You can cut them up as thick or thin as you would like. Ty helped me cut them so mine are all sorts of sizes.

Seriously who doesn't love peanut butter??! I could eat it every day.

I really wasn't planning on having Ty help me. I actually told him to stop when he started. I was nervous about him using the knife but he totally rocked it. He is just way too big and I have to stop thinking of him as a baby. We used butter knifes and I was right by him the whole time. He absolutely loved them. It was hard to keep some to freeze when he ate them as he went. He loves bananas and peanut butter so it was a perfect snack for him.

You can also put as little or as much peanut butter as you like. If you are doing it for a super healthy snack I wouldn't put a ton on. We were having fun and Ty kept layering it on so our peanut butter is busting out the sides.

I debated on posting this picture of our freezer. It is pretty sad looking. I put them in on a plate so they would freeze individually. Then after one hour I took them out and transferred them from the plate to a zip-lock bag. Jayson came home for lunch and we ate them all!

Maybe they will last longer at your house.

Why he loves her

A few reason why I know Ty loves Ember.

Yes I let them ride that bike together. He was holding on to her so tight and although she looks in pain in one of the pictures she was laughing and having so much fun.

-side note- her double chin picture is my favorite!!

Yes Ember really fell asleep in the picture. She was out of it and seemed so comfortable. Ty was loving it and kept smiling and petting her. She slept like that for about ten minutes before we moved her to her crib.

Yes I let Ty play rough and wrestle Ember. No I do not let him hurt her.

Yes Ty loves it when Ember sits in the shopping cart with him. He throws a huge fit if I keep her in her car seat. I can no longer go shopping on her nap time.

My most favorite thing he does now is while driving he holds her hand. Ember is rear facing and Ty is front facing so they have a perfect view of each other. I love driving down the road to hear Ty making funny noises and Ember laughing. The harder she laughs the loader he makes the noises.

I love the way he shows her he loves her. He is an amazing big brother. He is the perfect amount of sweet...but not to sweet. He is still going to make her one tough little girl with all the wrestling they do.

Temple Date attire

Heather offered to watch the littles so Jayson and I could go to the temple. I get so excited to drive down and get that time to just talk to Jayson about anything we want.  -Side note- I am SO excited that Cedar City will be getting a temple in the near future. I wish Jayson and I were going to be around to watch it be built. I think it would be so amazing to take the kids and watch it slowly go up. By the time it even gets started we will be well settled in Denver.

Anyway I was so excited to pull out my new maxi dress. It has been hanging in the closet with the tag on for the past two weeks. There is something about cutting the tag off a new outfit that makes me smile inside.

I was so scared I wouldn't be able to pull of the maxi style. I thought you had to be under 100lbs to look cute in them. I definitely am late jumping on the bandwagon....but im glad I got on. I love them. They are so comfortable and can be dressed up or down.

Think I am in love.
