April things
Over the weekend Ember had her first Tball game, we went swimming with cousins and celebrated Jayson's 31st birthday!!
Also Jayson got a new truck... I need to take a picture of that!
The kids are still loving the Art hub drawings. I love how much they all love art. Im also getting Ember to write out our grocery list from now on, she does a pretty great job.
Ember also decided she is in love with The Greatest Showman... Me to babe, me to. The sound track is on repeat repeat repeat....
Aiden woke up at 5am with me this particular morning. So an afternoon nap was a must.

Earth Days
Ember danced at the Earth Days festival this year. They gave out free stuffed animals to all the kids and they learned about recycling, reusing and reducing. It also inspired us to come home and do a few art projects while talking about our Earth and how to care for it!

Siblings
"Older siblings... the only people who will pick on you for their own entertainment and beat up anyone else who tries."
Easter egg hunt
We ended up missing the City egg hunt so the Easter Bunny made sure to stop by our house and leave some eggs and goodies for the three cuties. Of course lots of candy, chalk, church clothes and stuffed bunnies. We played Easter egg games and ate lots of watermelon.

Red, Apples, Firetrucks
A little of what the kids have been learning.
Aiden- the color red, letter A,1,2,3, sorting, fine motor skills.
Ember- writing red in sentences. Counting apples, parts of an apple, addition using apples, ladybug facts.
Ty- writing red in cursive, cursive basic sentences, parts of an apple, ladybug facts and reading.
They all overlapped a bit in each area but I tried to push them to their specific level. Ty and Ember love helping Aiden learn and its increasing their personal love for learning as well. Plus ART!

The Ants go marching one by one
I think Aiden is starting to love bugs even more then Ty if that's possible!
They all loved singing and marching to "The Ants go marching one by one"
I read them Hey Little Ant and Embers response was so hilarious and sad. Ty said he wouldn't squish the Ant. Ember thought on it for a bit and said she would definitely squish it because they have stung her before and it hurt really bad.... in her defense she was stung by a lot on Aidens first birthday and it left a pretty big emotional scare for her.
Ant hike
My adventure man took us out on a hike over Spring break to check out the Ants around Kanab and get some much needed sunshine.
We sure found a lot of Ants.
Ember taking field notes.
Ty has his adventure pose down!!!!

Holy week
This year for Easter and General Conference we decided to make some new traditions and take the week leading up to Easter as Holy week and follow the Saviors last few days leading to the Resurrection. It was overwhelming to begin with until I found the Small Seeds website and how she has all the activities beautifully planned with the matching scripture stories. We really enjoyed it and making new memories/traditions. There was such a wonderful spirit in the home all week that I want to strive to continue.
It was also neat to have this General Conference as a Solemn assembly where we were able to sustain our new prophet President Nelson. We took some time leading up to conference to learn about him and some fun facts. He has 9 daughters and 1 son, was a heart doctor, rides horses and the kids love that he shares the same last name as our cousins!
All dressed up in our Easter best.
The last supper was one of our favorite nights and one I actually got a picture of. Although this is not a traditional Jerusalem dinner the idea was there and the spirit was felt.

Spring life
New life in our home. Three new plants gifted to me from my sweetheart today. I adore them but not as much as I adore him.
ABCs and Christ
I have been trying to encourage more learning in our home. Not only our ABCs but also more spiritual learning and conversations with our children. Spending time together and learning through play. I have felt such a spiritual growth the past few weeks in spending this time with the kids and bonding more with them. I was so happy with the way the kids jumped in on it. Aiden, Ember and Ty all want to learn and create and discover new things. They love to talk about things with us and they truly crave that time together. Sometimes its short and sometimes we create and learn for hours. I never force it and allow it to fall as it is. I can't wait to see where this continues to go.
The first week was Under the Sea and Mermaids... Ember and Aiden were so in love.
